The client asked very simply for a painting of a tiger and then later when discussing backgrounds they supplied some pictures of the Sundarbans forest in Bangladesh. I supplied nine different sketches for the tiger to move forward with and as you can see, he chose number three and I worked the background in when I made a full sketch but I ended up changing it slightly while I was actually painting.
