1.3Research and InspirationMy DrawingsOver the weekend I finally went back home to Hull, I hadn't been home since my birthday at the beginning of March so it was great to finally see my family and have a change of scenery. I thought this would be a good opportunity to do some drawings. When I did my research I was a fan of the drawings that were finished with watercolour and I even bought a little watercolour palette to do it myself and like a genius I left it in Carlisle so I had to make do with a black sign pen and a grey brush pen that I didn't realise was ruining the drawings on the other side. A disaster start to finish. It was fun though and really good practice, I'm pleased with my drawings and I'm getting more used to just getting ink on paper fast and not worrying too much about it all being spot on.

1.2Research and InspirationMy DrawingsDrawing buildings is not something I would ever say I particularly enjoy doing but I just sort of took this as an opportunity to try some stuff out, I did a couple sketches that are pretty precise and took a little while to do but since I don't love drawing the 'urban environment' I tried to do some much quicker drawings, worrying much less about accuracy and more just capturing the overall feel. I also did these in coloured pens because I thought it would make them look a bit more interesting - debatable. In all honesty I don't really like any of the drawings above but its all good practice regardless.
